BacklinksLab helps SaaS and tech brands, SEO teams and agencies plan and execute high-quality link acquisition campaigns. From strategy and quality control through to placement and reporting.
Let's talk about link building
THE PROBLEM
I take ownership of the process, helping you build and manage a link acquisition programme that is structured, quality-conscious and aligned with what you’re actually trying to achieve.
WHAT I DO
THE BACKLINKSLAB PROCESS
Good link building is rarely about chasing the biggest number on a third-party metric. It’s about understanding what a campaign needs, finding the right opportunities and applying consistent quality control throughout.
My approach is structured around four stages.
01
UNDERSTAND
Start with the business, not the links.
I review your goals, priority pages, existing backlink profile, competitors and wider SEO strategy to understand where link acquisition can add the most value.
02
PLAN
Turn objectives into a practical campaign.
I develop an acquisition approach around target pages, relevance, authority, anchor distribution, competitive gaps and realistic delivery opportunities.
03
ACQUIRE & QA
Manage acquisition without compromising on oversight.
I coordinate placements through trusted relationships and partners, reviewing opportunities against campaign-specific quality standards before they become part of the programme.
04
REPORT & REFINE
Keep delivery visible and the strategy adaptable.
You get clear reporting on what has been acquired, where links are pointing and how the campaign is progressing, with the approach refined as priorities change.
QUALITY OVER CHECKBOXES
01
TOPICAL RELEVANCE
Does the site and surrounding content make sense for the brand, page and topic?
02
ORGANIC VISIBILITY
Does the domain show signs of genuine search visibility and a credible organic footprint?
03
DOMAIN HISTORY
Does the site have a stable, legitimate history rather than signs of repurposing or manipulation?
04
EDITORIAL QUALITY
Is the content useful, coherent and produced with a credible level of editorial oversight?
05
CONTEXTUAL PLACEMENT
Will the link sit naturally within relevant content where it adds value for the reader?
06
INDEXABILITY
Can the page be discovered, indexed and realistically contribute value over time?
07
OUTBOUND LINK PATTERNS
Does the site link externally in a natural way, or show signs of excessive commercial placement?
08
MANIPULATION SIGNALS
Are there patterns suggesting the site exists primarily to sell links or artificially influence search rankings?
09
CAMPAIGN FIT
Does the opportunity actually support the campaign’s target pages, priorities and wider strategy?
EXPERIENCE
Every campaign is different, but the principles stay the same. Careful planning, consistent execution and quality control over shortcuts.
Behind every placement is a process designed to support long-term SEO rather than short-term metrics.

ABOUT

BacklinksLab started with a simple idea. Good link building deserves the same care, planning and quality control as every other part of SEO.
Over the past seven years I've worked across outreach, campaign management and link acquisition, supporting SaaS businesses, agencies and SEO teams with campaigns that prioritise long-term value over shortcuts.
I enjoy bringing structure to work that can easily become chaotic. Whether that's planning campaigns, managing partners or reviewing placements before they go live.
Outside work I'm currently training as a counsellor, which has given me an even greater appreciation for listening carefully, communicating clearly and building genuine relationships.
When I'm away from my desk you'll usually find me walking with my Labrador, who also happens to be part of the inspiration behind BacklinksLab.
TRUSTED BY
Over the years I've supported agencies and in-house SEO teams working across rapidly growing SaaS and technology brands.

Every partnership is built on the same principles: careful planning, transparent communication and quality over shortcuts.
